J. Winfield Currie: A Colorful Author with a Fresh, New Voice

What’s new this month? Well, I’ve had a couple of small changes made to my website by Fred Davis at Ranagraphics. Although minor, they are important. And once A Matter of Destiny is completed substantial changes will follow.

How is the Prequel coming along? Thankfully, after several hitches, it’s finally moving at a faster pace. The new novel has more intricately interwoven plot lines that have required a good amount of research and blending. In addition, its style and content are quite different from my ‘Beyond’ Trilogy. If you have read my novels, you will recognize the main characters’ names, but they definitely will not be as you have remembered them. Time, place, different circumstances and … I guess you’ll have to wait a bit longer.

While you’re waiting, why not stop by my WEBSITE  and take a look at the Tabs. SCREENPLAY is a new Tab that takes you directly to the Beyond All Reason  Screenplay Blog … no surprise there. However, the former ‘Events Tab’ is now ODDS ‘N’ ENDS. As I am no longer planning specific events, other than an occasional book signing or speaking gig, that new title allows for a wider range of ‘stuff’: for instance, the bold Indie Brits Logo. If you never noticed it before, you definitely will now. Drop by Ellena Jenning’s Blog Site: My 2013 Author Spotlight with her was one of my favorites. She asked lots of questions, and I had lots of answers. At the bottom of that interview are several links related to me. One is the original Trilogy Book Trailer created in 2012, a very different interpretation from the present version. Compare the two. Which do you prefer, and why?

Hopefully, the reading I’ve provided will help ease you through the summertime TV doldrums.  If you don’t have time to visit my website and check out the new Tabs, I’ve made it easy. All the links here are ‘live’. Pick and choose, start clicking and enjoy.

On April 20, 2015, in a moment of optimistic exuberance, I first introduced my Prequel in a new Blog.  Much to my chagrin, I work with a strong willed, outspoken muse.  Hmm, sounds familiar. However, after a good deal of discussion, we are finally on the same page … the writing again flowing freely. Life is good.

Next month I will share my latest A Matter of Destiny  Blog, one providing greater insight into this novel’s thought-provoking premise … and the appropriateness of its title.

Until next month, Joan
